Step out for diabetes event

I have so been wanting to do a step out for diabetes event in my hometown. I have an event planner, even though the event is preplanned. Diabetes runs in my family and on my husband's side of the family. I have so much that I need to learn about diabetes. I work at the hospital and I'm sure that helps me with preventing diabetes. They say if you are inactive you are bound to get diabetes, (I'm guessing if it runs in your family. Not sure as of yet if you can just get diabetes or not) My aunt is small in size, she is taller than me, and yet is maybe a "little" overweight. If we learn to eat better and to control our portions I am sure we can be in better health. Sure I want to lose weight. I am going to try not to worry about that too much. I'm sure if I exercise more I can be in better shape too. For those of you who are interested in coming out to our event, we are planning on having it at Spring Park in Searcy, AR.
